To move a worker to another office, open their profile, select Update Employment Package, choose Transfer User, pick when the change applies, then choose the new office and manager and select Save & Finish. Past sales stay with the office the worker was in on the sale date, in every report.
Who can do this: Admins with access to the worker's profile whose permission group includes Profile > Organisation > Transfer Employee. Update Employment Package isn't shown for terminated workers or workers whose contract ended.
Transfer a worker
Open the worker's profile. In the Admin view, Company Admins can select the company name at the bottom of the menu, then User Management. In the Worker view, use Management > Personnel.
Select Update Employment Package.
Under Select Update Wizard, choose Transfer User and select Proceed.
At When should these changes apply?, choose one option (see the table below) and select Continue. The window shows how many existing sales the choice affects.
On the Transfer step, set Work From Home, Office State and Office Name. Tick User will act as a manager in new office. if they will manage it. Choose the worker's manager in Select New Manager (the list covers the whole company) and their team in Select Team.
If the worker manages people, you can move their current team to a new manager: pick one under "If you wish to reassign workers currently under" the worker's name. Select Continue.
Go through the pay steps your company uses for the new position, such as Commission, Upfront and Overrides. If a new rate clashes with one already scheduled, choose Keep effective dates or Overwrite Conflicting Dates.
On Review and Finish, check everything and select Save & Finish.
When the change applies
Option | Effective date |
Apply to all open sales (Past and Future) | The start of the worker's agreement. Every open sale from then on is recalculated. |
Apply immediately | Today. Past data isn't affected. |
Select start date | The date you pick. |
These changes are Temporary | A start and end date. The day after the end date, the worker goes back to their previous office and setup automatically. |
After you save, Sequifi recalculates the worker's open sales from the effective date on: sales where they are the closer or setter, that aren't cancelled, and whose final milestone isn't paid yet. Milestones already paid never change.
Which office a sale belongs to
A sale always belongs to the office each worker was in on the sale date. Commissions, overrides, the Sales report, the Sales Report Builder, the sale page and every sales export use that rule. Override managers are also taken as of the sale date. So a transfer never moves old sales to the new office in reports, whichever timing option you choose.
On the mobile app
You can't transfer a worker in the mobile app. Use a web browser.
Common questions
Why don't I see Transfer User?
Your permission group needs Transfer Employee, and you need access to that worker's profile. Ask a Company Admin.
Can I undo a transfer?
There is no undo button. Run Transfer User again to move the worker back, or use These changes are Temporary next time if the move has an end date.
