Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Accessing Your Organization Information

  1. Log in to Sequifi. You'll land on your dashboard after signing in.

  2. Click on your initials in the upper right corner. A dropdown menu appears.

  3. Select "View Profile." This opens your full profile page.

  4. Click on the "Organization" tab. This tab shows all your organizational details.

Understanding Your Organization Details

The Organization tab displays several key pieces of information:

Department This shows which department you belong to. Common departments include:

  • Sales – Typically for 1099 independent contractors and sales reps

  • Management – Typically for corporate roles, managers, or W-2 employees

Your department affects things like how your pay is processed and what features you have access to.

Position This is your specific role within your department. Examples include:

  • Sales Rep

  • Setter

  • Closer

  • Sales Manager

  • Regional Manager

  • Account Manager

Your position determines your commission structure and override eligibility.

Manager This shows who you report to directly. Your manager:

  • Can view your performance

  • May approve your requests

  • Earns overrides on your sales (depending on the structure)

  • Is your primary point of contact for questions

Office This is the location or market you're assigned to. Offices help organize:

  • Regional performance tracking

  • Local management structure

  • Location-specific commission rates (if applicable)

Team If your office has multiple teams, this shows which team you're part of. Teams help further organize reps within an office.

Recruiter This shows who recruited you or brought you into the company. Your recruiter may:

  • Earn recruiting overrides on your sales

  • Be part of your upline in the organization

Viewing Agreement Details

Your Organization tab may also show information about your employment agreement:

Agreement Start Date When your current agreement began. This is typically your hire date or the date of your most recent contract.

Agreement End Date If your agreement has an end date (such as for annual contracts), it shows here. Some agreements are indefinite and have no end date.

Probationary Period If you're in a probationary period, you'll see the start and end dates. During probation, you may have different terms or requirements.

Understanding the Hierarchy

Your organization details show how you connect to the broader company structure:

Your Manager The person directly above you who oversees your work.

Your Manager's Manager Though not always shown directly, your manager reports to someone as well, creating a chain of command.

Your Recruiter The person who brought you into the company. This may be different from your manager.

Your Office The location grouping that includes you and your teammates.

This hierarchy determines:

  • Who earns overrides on your sales

  • Who can view your performance

  • Your reporting relationships

What You Cannot Change

The Organization section is view-only for reps. You cannot change:

  • Your position

  • Your department

  • Your manager

  • Your office or team

  • Your recruiter

  • Your agreement dates

If any of this information is incorrect or needs to be updated, contact your manager or admin. They have the ability to update your organization through the employment package settings.

Tips and Common Mistakes

  • Verify your manager is correct. If you're not sure who you report to, check this section. Knowing your manager helps you know who to go to with questions.

  • Check your office assignment. If you've transferred or are working in a different location, make sure your office shows correctly. Incorrect office assignments can affect commission calculations.

  • Know your agreement dates. If your company does annual renewals, knowing when your agreement ends helps you prepare for the renewal process.

  • Contact admin for changes. If anything in your organization section is wrong, you'll need an admin to fix it. You cannot edit this information yourself.

  • Understand how hierarchy affects pay. Your position and manager assignment determine override structures. If something seems off with your pay or someone else's pay related to your sales, your organization setup may be the cause.

Common Questions

Why can't I edit my organization information? Organization details are controlled by admins to ensure accuracy and proper commission calculations. Contact your admin if changes are needed.

What if my manager is wrong? Let your admin know right away. Having the wrong manager assigned can affect override calculations and reporting access.

What happens when my agreement ends? If your agreement has an end date, your company will typically initiate a renewal process before that date. You'll receive a new agreement to sign. Contact your manager if your end date is approaching and you haven't heard about renewal.

Can I be in multiple offices? Typically, you're assigned to one office at a time. If you work across multiple locations, your primary office is what shows in your profile. Special arrangements may exist but would be handled by your admin.

What's the difference between my manager and my recruiter? Your manager is who you report to for day-to-day work and oversight. Your recruiter is who brought you into the company. These can be the same person or different people.
