Checking Pending Pay

Pending pay gives you a preview of what's coming on your next paycheck, so you can see your expected earnings before payday arrives.

When to Use This

  • You want to know how much money to expect on your next paycheck

  • You want to see which accounts are contributing to your upcoming pay

  • You're checking whether a recent sale has been added to your pending earnings

  • You want to understand the breakdown of commissions, overrides, and deductions before payroll runs

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Accessing Pending Pay

  1. Log in to Sequifi. You'll land on your dashboard after signing in.

  2. Click on "My Earnings" in the left-hand menu. This will expand to show three subtabs.

  3. Click on "Pending Pay." This is the third subtab in the My Earnings section.

  4. Review your pending pay summary. At the top of the page, you'll see a breakdown of your upcoming paycheck, including:

    • Commissions – Earnings from your personal sales

    • Overrides – Earnings from the sales of others in your network

    • Adjustments – Any corrections or additions to your pay

    • Clawbacks – Commissions being taken back due to canceled accounts

    • Deductions – Amounts being subtracted, such as draw repayments

    • Reimbursements – Money being paid back to you for expenses

  5. Look at the total anticipated pay. At the bottom of the summary, you'll see a blue box showing your total expected net pay for the upcoming payroll period. This is the amount you should expect to receive, assuming nothing changes before payroll is finalized.

Viewing the Itemized Breakdown

Below the summary, Sequifi shows you exactly where your pending pay is coming from.

  1. Scroll down to the itemized section. You'll see categories like Commissions, Overrides, Adjustments, Deductions, and Reimbursements.

  2. Click on any category to expand the details. For example, clicking on "Commissions" will show you:

    • The PID number for each account

    • The customer name

    • The commission amount you're earning on that account

    • The milestone or payment type (such as M1 or M2)

  3. Review each category that applies to you. If you're earning overrides, click on that section to see which accounts you're receiving overrides on and who the sales rep was. If you have deductions, you can see what they're for.

Understanding What You See

Here's what each section in pending pay means:

  • Commissions – These are earnings from accounts you personally sold that have reached a payable milestone. Each account is listed with its PID, customer name, and the amount you'll receive.

  • Overrides – If you earn overrides on other reps' sales, this section shows which accounts you're getting overrides on, who the rep was, and how much you're earning.

  • Adjustments – Any manual adjustments made to your pay, such as bonuses or corrections, will appear here.

  • Clawbacks – If any of your previously paid accounts have canceled, the clawback amount will show here as a negative number that reduces your total pay.

  • Deductions – This includes repayments for draws or advances, as well as any other amounts being subtracted from your pay.

  • Reimbursements – If you submitted a reimbursement request that was approved, the amount will show here and be added to your pay.

  • Reconciliation – If your company uses reconciliation periods to true up accounts, any reconciliation amounts will appear in this section.

When Pending Pay Updates

Pending pay is not static. It updates as new information comes into Sequifi:

  • When a new sale reaches a payable milestone, it gets added to your pending commissions

  • When an account cancels, a clawback gets added to your pending deductions

  • When an admin approves a reimbursement or adjustment, it appears in your pending pay

  • When payroll is finalized, your pending pay resets and those earnings move to your pay stub

Because pending pay can change up until payroll is finalized, think of it as a preview rather than a guarantee. The final amount on your pay stub is what you'll actually receive.

Tips and Common Mistakes

  • Pending pay is a preview, not a promise. The amounts can change if accounts cancel, adjustments are made, or new sales come in before payroll runs. Always check your actual pay stub for the final numbers.

  • If a sale isn't showing up, check the milestone. Your commission won't appear in pending pay until the account reaches a payable milestone (like M1 or initial service). If your sale is still pending installation or service, it won't show yet.

  • Clawbacks reduce your total. If you see a lower number than expected, check the clawbacks section. Canceled accounts from previous pay periods can reduce your upcoming paycheck.

  • Deductions include draw repayments. If you took an advance or draw, the repayment amount will show as a deduction and reduce your net pay.

  • Check pending pay regularly. Looking at your pending pay throughout the week helps you stay on top of your earnings and catch any issues before payroll is finalized.

  • Projected earnings are different from pending pay. Projected earnings (shown in light blue elsewhere in Sequifi) are estimates for accounts still in your pipeline. Pending pay shows amounts that are actually queued up for your next paycheck.
