Sale details and milestones

Open a sale's details, read its milestone lines, how admins set up milestones, and what the full admin sale page shows.

On My Earnings > Commission, select a sale's ID or customer name to open its details: Sales Info, Customer Details, Job Details and Notes. Expand the row to see each milestone's date, pay period, pay date and pay status. Admins can open the full sale page, with every worker's commission and the account's overrides, from Reports > Sales in the Admin view.

Who can do this: Workers, for their own sales. Managers whose permission group includes Reports > Sales can open the same panel from that report. Admins with sales access in the Admin view see the full sale page; editing and deleting need extra permissions. Mortgage companies see Loan instead of Sale.

Open a sale's details

  1. Open My Earnings and select Commission.

  2. Select the sale's ID or the customer's name. A panel opens on the right, titled with the customer's name.

  3. Read the sections: Sales Info (or Loans Info) with the ID, Product and Product Name; Customer Details; Job Details; Service History (pest and fiber companies); and Notes.

The panel doesn't show other workers' commission or the sale's overrides. Only the full sale page for admins shows those.

Read the milestones

  1. On the Commission page, select the commission amount or the arrow at the end of the sale's row.

  2. Each line shows Milestone, Date, Pay Period, Pay Date, Pay Status and Amount. Clawback lines are red and negative.

A milestone is paid only after its date is on the sale. Until then it's Projected, with no pay date. See Pay statuses explained.

How milestones are set up

Your company decides the milestones, so don't assume M1 or M2 means the same thing everywhere. Admins set them up in the Admin view:

  • Settings > Milestones: a milestone schema has a Schema Name and a list of milestones. Each Milestone Name is tied to a Trigger Date, the date on the sale that makes it payable. The last milestone is the final payment. Once a schema is saved, its payments and mapping can't be changed.

  • Settings > Products: each product uses one schema (Select Milestone Schema, which can't be changed later). The product also sets the Clawback Exempt milestone and the Override Eligibility milestone, when overrides become payable.

Milestone dates usually come from your company's sales system or imports. A sale added with the Sales Form usually starts with only its sale date.

The full sale page (admins)

  1. In the Admin view, open Reports and select Sales.

  2. Select the sale's ID.

The header shows the ID, the customer, the data source and the status. Buttons include Account Summary, Sales History (or Loans History) and, with edit access, the edit pencil and Recalculate. With delete access you can delete the sale, but not once any payment on it has been made ("Unable to Delete Job!").

Sections include Sales Info (with Prospect ID, Proposal ID and Homeowner ID where used), Job Details, Additional Fields, Customer Details, Dates (the sale date, each milestone's trigger date and Cancel Date), Notes, a Worker card for each rep with Total Commission and per-milestone amounts, and Account Overrides with each recipient, amount and reason.

On the mobile app

Tap Sales, then tap any sale. You see TOTAL COMMISSION, My Commission (milestone trigger names where available; projected amounts in orange), Sale Info, Customer and Job Details. See Mobile: sales, commissions and overrides.

Common questions

Why can't I see the other reps' commission on my sale?

Workers see only their own pay. The full sale page with every worker's commission is for admins with sales access.

A date on the sale is wrong.

Ask your company admin. They can correct it, or fix it in the system your sales come from. Changing a milestone date can change when that milestone pays.
