  • You need to see the sales pipeline health for the whole organization

  • You want to compare performance across different offices or positions

  • You're preparing financial reports or leadership updates

Who Can Access Company Reports

Company reports require admin-level access. Managers may have access to office-level reports, but company-wide data is typically restricted to admins.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Accessing the Company Report

  1. Make sure you're in admin view. Click "Switch to Admin" in the upper right corner if needed.

  2. Click on "Reports" in the left-hand menu. This expands to show seven subtabs.

  3. Click on "Company." This is the first subtab and displays the company-wide overview.

Using the Filters

At the top of the Company report, you'll find filters to customize your view:

  1. Select the year. Choose which year's data you want to see. You can look at the current year or go back to previous years.

  2. Filter by rep (optional). If you want to see one specific rep's contribution to company numbers, select their name from the dropdown.

  3. Filter by office (optional). Select a specific office to see only that location's data, or choose "All Offices" to see the full company view.

  4. Apply your filters. The report updates to show data matching your selections.

Understanding the Yearly Overview Graph

Below the filters, you'll see a bar graph showing performance by month.

  1. Review the monthly bars. Each bar represents activity for that month.

  2. Hover over any month to see details. A tooltip appears showing:

    • Payroll executed (total amount paid out)

    • One-time payments

    • Accounts sold

    • Accounts installed or serviced

  3. Use the graph type filters. You can adjust what the graph shows:

    • Payments – Focus on payroll and payment data

    • Accounts – Focus on sales and installation numbers

    • All Types – See everything together

  4. Look for trends. The graph helps you spot patterns like seasonal fluctuations, growth trends, or unusual months that need investigation.

Reviewing Payroll Totals

Below the graph, you'll find a detailed breakdown of payroll totals.

  1. Review the payroll categories:

    • Commissions – Total paid to reps for their personal sales

    • Overrides – Total paid to managers and leaders for team sales

    • Adjustments – Manual additions or corrections to pay

    • Reimbursements – Money paid back to reps for expenses

    • Deductions – Amounts subtracted from pay

    • Net Payout – The final total paid out after all additions and subtractions

  2. Compare categories. Understanding the ratio between commissions and overrides, or seeing how much goes to deductions, helps you understand your pay structure's impact.

Viewing Total Paid by Office

  1. Find the "Total Paid by Office" section.

  2. Click "View Report." This opens a detailed breakdown showing how much was paid to each office location.

  3. Review the office-by-office data. You can see:

    • Which offices have the highest payroll

    • How payroll is distributed across your markets

    • Which locations might need attention

  4. Use this for comparison. Comparing offices helps identify high performers and locations that may need support.

Viewing Total Paid by Position

  1. Find the "Total Paid by Position" section.

  2. Click "View Report." This opens a breakdown showing payroll by position type.

  3. Review position-level data. You can see:

    • How much is being paid to each role (closers, setters, managers, etc.)

    • The distribution of pay across your organization structure

    • Whether certain positions are earning more or less than expected

  4. Use this for compensation analysis. This view helps you understand if your pay structure is working as intended.

Understanding the Sales Snapshot

The sales snapshot gives you a quick view of your entire sales pipeline.

  1. Review the circle graph. This visual shows your accounts broken down by status:

    • Total Accounts – All accounts in the system

    • Total Sold – Accounts that have been sold

    • Pending – Accounts waiting to complete

    • Canceled – Accounts that fell through

    • Installed/Serviced – Accounts that completed successfully

  2. Check the numbers below the graph. You'll see specific counts for each category.

  3. Review the service ratio. This percentage shows how many sold accounts successfully complete. A higher ratio means better pipeline health.

Understanding Projected Payouts

The projected payouts section shows future earnings based on accounts still in the pipeline.

  1. Look for the light blue numbers. Light blue indicates projected values (not yet paid).

  2. Review projected categories:

    • Projected Commissions – Expected commission payments from pending accounts

    • Projected Overrides – Expected override payments from pending accounts

    • Total Projected Payout – Combined total of all projected earnings

  3. Use projections for planning. These numbers help you anticipate future payroll needs, though actual amounts may change if accounts cancel or values are adjusted.

Reviewing Personnel Summary

The Company report includes a summary of your workforce.

  1. Find the personnel summary section.

  2. Review the workforce data:

    • Active Employees – Total number of active users in the system

    • Total Workforce – Complete headcount

    • Contractors – Number of 1099 independent contractors

    • W-2 Employees – Number of W-2 employees (if applicable)

  3. Use this for headcount tracking. This gives you a quick view of your team size and composition.

Exporting Company Report Data

You can export report data for further analysis or record-keeping.

  1. Look for the "Export" button. This is typically near the top of the report.

  2. Click "Export." The data downloads as an Excel or CSV file.

  3. Open the file for analysis. You can use Excel to create custom charts, run calculations, or prepare reports for leadership.

Key Metrics to Monitor

When reviewing the Company report, pay attention to these important metrics:

Total Payroll Track how much you're paying out overall. Compare month over month to understand trends.

Commission to Override Ratio Understanding how much goes to direct sales (commissions) versus management (overrides) helps you evaluate your compensation structure.

Service Ratio A declining service ratio may indicate problems with lead quality, sales practices, or operational issues.

Projected vs. Actual Compare projected payouts to actual payouts over time. If projections consistently don't materialize, investigate why accounts are canceling.

Office Performance Identify top-performing offices and those that need support. Look for best practices you can share across locations.

Position Distribution Ensure payroll is distributed appropriately across roles. Unexpected distributions may indicate structural issues.

Tips and Common Mistakes

  • Use filters to focus your analysis. The company-wide view is helpful, but filtering by office or time period can reveal insights you'd miss in aggregate data.

  • Compare periods thoughtfully. When comparing months or years, consider factors like seasonality, team size changes, or market conditions.

  • Remember that projections are estimates. Projected payouts are based on pending accounts. They can change significantly if accounts cancel or are adjusted.

  • Export data for deeper analysis. The in-app views are great for quick reviews, but exporting to Excel lets you create custom reports and track metrics over time.

  • Look beyond the numbers. If something looks unusual, dig deeper to understand why. A spike in payroll might be good (more sales) or concerning (too many adjustments).

  • Share insights with your team. Use the data to celebrate successes, identify coaching opportunities, and make informed business decisions.

  • Review regularly. Make company report review a regular habit, whether weekly or monthly, so you stay on top of trends.
