Frequently asked questions

Short, correct answers to the most common Sequifi questions on signing in, pay, sales, requests, profile, the app and admin tasks.

Short answers to the questions people ask most, each with a link to the full article. Menus in Sequifi depend on your permission group and your company's add-ons, so if an answer mentions something you can't see, start with Why can't I see a menu or feature?

Who can do this: Everyone. Answers under "For admins" need the admin permissions named in each answer.

Getting started

What is Sequifi?

Sequifi is the software your company uses to track sales, calculate commissions and pay, and hire and onboard workers. SequiPay is Sequifi's payroll product. Mortgage companies see Loan instead of Sale throughout.

How do I sign in?

On the web, go to your company's own Sequifi address (such as yourcompany.sequifi.com), enter your Email and Password, and select Sign In. In the mobile app, also enter your Workspace: the first part of that address, not your company's name. The first time you sign in, Sequifi asks you to replace your temporary password. See I can't sign in.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Select Forgot Password? on the sign-in page, enter your email, and select Send Reset Link. The link works for 60 minutes and only once, and it opens in your web browser. See I can't sign in.

How do I change my password?

On the web, open your profile and select Change Password, then enter your Old Password, New Password and Confirm Password. Reset Password in the menu under your photo or initials works differently: it emails you a reset link. You can't change your password in the mobile app. See Reset your password and protect account access.

Why can't I see a menu or feature?

There is no fixed Rep, Manager or Admin role. Your permission group, your company's add-ons and its settings decide what you see. Your company admin decides and changes your access. Sequifi Support doesn't change permissions for you. See Why can't I see a menu or feature?

How do I switch between the Worker and Admin views?

Use the Worker / Admin toggle at the top of the page (at the bottom of the left menu on a narrow screen). You only see the views your permission group includes. There is no "Switch to Admin" button. See Worker view and Admin view: find your way around.

Where is Hiring?

In the Worker view, not the Admin view: select Worker, then Hiring. See Where is Hiring?

Where did the Alert Center go?

It has been retired. See Where did the Alert Center go? for where each alert's job lives now.

Pay and earnings

Where are my pay stubs?

My Earnings > Pay Stubs opens your latest pay stub. Select Export to save it as a PDF. For older pay stubs, open Reports > Past Pay Stubs, pick the year, and use the Pay stubs or One-Time Payment tab. In the app, open Earnings > Paystubs. See View and download your paystubs.

How do I see what I'll be paid next?

Open My Earnings > Pending Pay. The "Pending Pay Breakdown" shows what you are expected to be paid for the current open pay period. If your admin sends pay for review, you'll also see Verify Pay and Request Review. In the app, tap Review Pay Details on the Pending Pay card to find the same two buttons. See Review and verify pending pay.

When will I get paid?

On your company's pay schedule. Your company sets your pay dates, not Sequifi Support. To see when a sale pays, open My Earnings > Commission and expand the sale: each milestone shows its Pay Period, Pay Date and Pay Status. For a specific deposit, ask your company admin.

What do Projected, Pending, Paid, Clawback and Do Not Pay mean?

Projected: what you could earn, with no pay date set yet. Pending: has a pay date, not paid out yet. Paid: marked as paid in the system. Clawback: pay taken back after a sale was cancelled. Do Not Pay: your company chose to withhold that line. See Key terms used in Sequifi.

Why haven't I been paid on a sale?

Open My Earnings > Commission and expand the sale. Projected means the milestone's date isn't on the sale yet, so it has no pay date. Do Not Pay means your company withheld it. Clawback means the sale was cancelled. If you think it's wrong, use Request Review on Pending Pay before payday (it appears when your admin sends pay for review), or submit a Payroll Dispute request after payday. See Understand your commission breakdown.

What is a clawback?

When a sale is cancelled, milestones that weren't paid yet are removed, and pay you already received on that sale is taken back from a later payroll. Your company can set a product so that sales past a certain milestone aren't clawed back. Do Not Pay lines are never clawed back.

What are overrides?

Overrides are pay you earn on other people's sales. The types are Direct, Indirect, Office, Stack, Manual and Manager. Direct overrides go to the selling rep's recruiter. Find yours in My Earnings > Override. See Review overrides and bonus entries.

Can I request an advance or a draw?

You can request a General Advance, or an Advance against an Account, which is tied to one sale and limited to the commission still available on it. There is no Draw request type. See Request an advance and follow its progress.

Sales

Where are my sales?

In the Worker view, open My Earnings > Commission (page title "Commissions Summary"). This replaced the old My Sales page. See View your sales and commission records.

A sale is missing from my list. Why?

The list shows the last 12 months by default, so change Date Range to look further back. It also only shows sales where you are a closer or setter. If the sale still isn't there, ask your company admin: sales come from your company's systems and imports.

Requests

How do I request an advance, reimbursement, bonus or pay correction?

On the web, open Requests > My Requests, select Add Request, choose the Type of Request, fill in the details, and select Submit Request. For a pay correction, choose Payroll Dispute. You can't submit requests in the mobile app, but you can track them there if you see the Requests tab. See Submit a request.

Does Approved mean Paid?

No. Approved means your manager approved it and it is now with your company's admin. Scheduled means the admin added it to an upcoming payroll. Paid means it has been paid. See Track request status.

Can I edit or cancel a request?

No. Once submitted, you can't edit, cancel or delete a request. Open it and use Add Reply to leave a comment, or ask your manager to decline it.

Profile, banking and documents

How do I update my personal information?

Select your photo or initials at the top right, then View Profile. On Personal Info, select the pencil (edit) icon, make your changes, and select Save. Your Personal Email is also your sign-in email. See Edit your profile information.

How do I change my direct deposit?

On the web, open View Profile > Banking, select the pencil (edit) icon, update Name of Bank, Account Number, Confirm Account Number, Routing Number, Account Name and Type of Account, then select Save. You can't change banking in the mobile app, but a phone browser works. See Update banking and tax information.

Who can see my personal information?

You, plus anyone whose permission group gives them access to profiles in your office and position. That can include managers, not just admins. Your Social Security number shows masked (for example xxx-xx-1234), and account and EIN numbers are masked too.

Where do I sign my documents?

Open View Profile > Documents, open the document's row menu and select Review. Unsigned documents also appear as New Document in Action Items on your Home page. You can't sign documents in the mobile app. See Review and sign assigned documents.

How do I refer someone?

On the web, open Referrals and select Add new, if your company uses Referrals. In the mobile app, tap the + button, then New Candidate if the app offers a choice. The app also shows your referral QR code and link to share. See Submit and track a referral.

On the mobile app

Is there a Sequifi mobile app?

Yes. Search "Sequifi" in the App Store or Google Play. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later, and Android 8.0 or later. Sign in with your Workspace, email and password. See Get started with the Sequifi mobile app.

What can't I do in the app?

You can't submit a request, change your banking, tax details, profile or password (after your first sign-in), sign documents, or upload an ID. Use a web browser for those. See What you can and can't do in the mobile app.

For admins

How do I run payroll?

In the Admin view, open Payroll > Run-Payroll and pick the pay frequency and pay period. Review the rows, then select Finalize Payroll (this locks amounts; no money moves yet) and then Execute Payroll, or use Finalize & Execute for both. Finalizing and executing are separate permissions in your permission group.

Can I undo a payroll that was already executed?

No. An executed pay period can't be re-run. Make corrections in a later payroll, with an adjustment or a request. If your company pays workers through SequiPay and money went out in error, contact Sequifi Support right away.

What's the difference between Do Not Pay and Stop Payroll?

Do Not Pay (on Run-Payroll) withholds the selected lines for good: they are never paid and never clawed back. You can undo it until the payroll is executed. If the payroll is already finalized, unfinalize it first. Stop Payroll (on a worker's profile, Company Admins only) holds all of that worker's pay: it rolls into the next pay period until you select Start Payroll. See Suspending or stopping payroll.

How do I give someone admin access or change their permissions?

A Company Admin selects the company's name at the bottom of the Admin menu, then User Management. Use Add Admin to invite an admin, or change a person's Permissions Group. What each group can do is set in Permissions > Groups. Never remove your own admin access. See Why can't I see a menu or feature?

Why aren't my workers getting Sequifi emails?

Usually the Email card in Settings > Company > Setup is off, or Allow all domains isn't ticked. See Why aren't my workers getting Sequifi emails?

How do I turn on an add-on?

Company Admins open Tools > Add-Ons in the Admin view. Each card shows whether the add-on is Paid, Free or Included. Its button says Activate, Set Up or Request, or Manage once the add-on is on. Some add-ons can be switched off with Turn Off.

Where do I connect an integration?

Company Admins open Tools > Integrations in the Admin view. The integrations available to your company are listed there. Tools > Connections and Logs show your connections and their run history. If you don't see Integrations under Tools, contact Sequifi Support.

Does Sequifi have an API?

Yes, the Sequifi Marketplace API. Company Admins create credentials in Tools > API Credentials with Create Credentials. The tokens are shown only once, so save them, and they have full access to all API endpoints, including payroll, users and reports. You can pause, resume or permanently delete credentials. The page links to the API documentation.

Where are our Sequifi invoices?

Company Admins select the company's name at the bottom of the Admin menu, then Billing. Invoices are usually under Billing History. If you don't see it, contact Sequifi Support.

Getting help

How do I contact Sequifi Support?

Chat with us in the web app after you sign in, use Profile > Help & Support in the mobile app, or email support@sequifi.com. For your pay amounts, pay dates or permissions, contact your company admin. See Getting help from Sequifi Support.

Which browsers work with Sequifi?

Keep your web browser up to date. If a page doesn't load or looks wrong, try another browser, then contact Sequifi Support if it still happens.
